Job Overview

The successful candidate will form part of a team of three personnel working 15hrs per week, between 4.00pm and 7.00pm, carrying out general cleaning duties in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire.

The office is a busy environment and many of ECG’s personnel work beyond 5.00pm, therefore consideration needs to be given to noise levels that are created from activities such as vacuuming.  \

The nature of the role requires the successful candidate to be fit, with good mobility, as there is an element of manual handling, and the use of specialised cleaning equipment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks

• Kitchens	Empty Bins. New Liners (please use correct liner) Clean out sink tray Clean out microwaves (with warm soapy water & microfibre cloth only – no sprays) Spray & wipe down surfaces.  Mop/clean skirtings Replace kitchen roll (if required). Ensure supply of kitchen roll is available Replace any sprays, bleaches, liquids, etc next to sinks Vacuum Floors Mop floor (please use boiling water) Any dish towels/cloths please bag for Marnie to wash Fridges to be cleaned out every Friday with warm soapy water or bicarbonate soda only (all unused food will be removed beforehand by and ECG Team member.)
  Ladies & Gents Toilets	Empty bins & replace bin liners (please use correct liner) (sanitary bins are emptied by external contractor) Replenish toilet rolls Spray toilets & wipe down all surfaces including bins Bleach in toilets Clean sink & taps Clean/wipe down all surfaces & mirrors Replace any soaps, sprays, bleaches, liquids, etc Vacuum floors of any dust/rubbish Mop floors (please use boiling water) Ladies’ toilets: replenish sanitary items
  Coffee Room	Empty bins & replace liners Clean & wipe surfaces Clean coffee machine Clean spoons & holders Replace kitchen roll Vacuum & mop floors (please use boiling water)
  Nespresso Coffee Machine	Open right hand door of machine and remove container that holds the milk, discard whatever milk has been left in sink and clean and rinse milk container & lid. Clean out right hand side of machine before replacing milk container. Ensure that all pipes and hoses are reassembled in the correct manner Remove blue plug above milk container by turning it anti-clockwise Place 2 x cleaning tablets into plug Replace plug in machine and turn clockwise until it clicks, (it will not turn anymore) Press any key twice until the screen asks for 2 tables Turn the key anti-clockwise and then turn the key clockwise, the machine will now start its cleaning cycle. Clean the grate and overflow sump.
  Labour & Call Centre	Empty big bins. New liners. Empty desk bins & new bin liners where required Clean/wipe desks & units between desks Vacuum all floors (including smaller offices if vacant) Clean glass partitions (weekly rotation)
  Photocopy/Post Room	Clean & wipe surfaces Empty bins Vacuum floors
  All Offices & Internal Offices  (knock first)	Empty bins & replace new liners if required Clean/wipe desks Clean windows & sills Vacuum floors
  Reception	Mop floor (please use boiling water) Clean glass at door Clean window sills
  All corridors	Vacuum all corridors
  Gym (can only be accessed after 7.00pm)	Clean down all surfaces with antibacterial spray/wipes Empty bin/s and replenish bin liners Clean glass surfaces (weekly basis) Vacuum floor
  Showers adjacent to gym	Vacuum all flooring Mop floors post vacuum Clean down shower cubicles, (ceramic tiles & shower doors)

• Previous cleaning experience preferred is essential

Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required

The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive induction programme and training on all elements of the work activities.
