As a senior member of the kitchen team, you will ensure food is prepared and cooked to a high standard daily. You will have an eye for detail with an organised approach to the day ahead and show enthusiasm for cooking. You’ll be able to stay calm under pressure and thrive from being part of a busy kitchen environment. You’ll be passionate about food and committed to great service delivery. You’ll lead and develop a team giving support daily.
This is a full-time permanent position working 8- or 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday with Weekend availability.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Key Tasks
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and managing staff rosters, holiday, and sickness leave.
- Ensure all assigned staff adhere to food hygiene regulations and the Health & Safety policies.
- Assist the Head Chef with refreshing menus at regular intervals and collaborate with F&B Manager and General Manager on the implementation of any new menu including the provision of detailed food costings.
- Responsible for the food preparation and cooking within the hotel kitchen ensuring recipes are followed consistently to keep the quality and cost constant.
- Assist the Head Chef in meeting and exceeding the company food GB budget.
- Assist the Head Chef in ensuring all kitchen staff are trained on dish specification and how to achieve food margins.
- Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Responsible for developing and implementing minimum department standards for kitchen activities.
- Undertake training where required relevant to job role.
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies at all times.
- Ensure awareness of risk assessments, method statements, and training requirements relating to role.
- From time to time undertake other duties as may reasonably be requested.
